Authors Note: So I started my Garden over a month ago, (I’m sure i’ll do a post about that soon too) and well I have an abundance of jalapenos and sometimes you can have enough salsa, so I have been adding Jalapenos to almost anything to see what else i can use it in, and really Jalapenos in anything is a good thing, but this recipe I had to share!

Pull apart bread is a yummy snack to enjoy with family and friends! All sorts of things can be added to this recipe, and if you can’t handle the spice, don’t add the jalapenos! We had a pizza night yesterday and i had left over pizza dough so weather you make your own dough or store bought dough this recipe is pretty easy to throw together. I used a bread pan to bake it in, which gave it a thick crispy side that was to DIE for.  If you don’t have a bread pan, a cookie sheet will do too. Now this is what you’ll need:

Jalapeno Garlic “Pull Apart” Cheesy Bread

  • 1 lb pizza dough, homemade or store bought, (I recommend Rhodes Bread Dough in the freezer section.)
  • 1 cup shredded mozzarella
  • 1/2 cup shredded Colby jack
  • 1-2 Jalapenos sliced
  • 1 tablespoon minced garlic
  • 1/4 cup melted butter (depending on how bad you wanna be) you don’t NEED it, but it does taste better with it.
  1. Preheat oven @ 350 degrees.  Mix melted butter and garlic together, use some of that butter mixture to lather up the sides and bottom of the pan.
  2. Separate the dough into two equal parts, we are going to layer dough and cheese. First the dough goes down in little pieces, this is what makes the bread easy to “pull apart” after its done baking. So pull apart the dough in little section about a 1-2 inches each. Start placing them at the bottom of the pan, don’t worry if the whole pan isn’t covered it will spread together as it bakes.
  3. Then use half of each of the cheeses and sprinkle over the dough, now throw on those jalapenos on top.
  4. Now place the rest of the dough balls in and then the rest of the cheese. Last but not least…the garlic butter! Pour it all over the dough. Bake for 20-25 minutes! Enjoy the smell of that bread in your oven! Your welcome!
