The Jolly Vox Box Review

30 Dec

There is nothing I enjoy more than coming home and seeing a little Influenster box on my door step. So this is my 5th or 6th box, and this one may be small but I actually enjoyed all of the items in it. The following items were complementary for testing purposes:

Mini “ducklings”  Duck Tape- So I did end up using this for some wrapping, I ran out of regular tape, and hey it worked, I wasn’t crazy about the design, It was some Hawaiian design, but after seeing the other colors and designs, i would buy it again. Would be cute for projects.  Mini rolls retail for $2-$3. @theduckbrand

Rimmel Show Off Lip Lacquer-  The color, is out of this world. The smell reminds me of Mexican candy. I have no idea why, but I love it. Available in 14 shades, I received the shade Luna, a Peachy Pink color. Very bright, and looks really good with a nude pallet. The lip lacquer is similar to a gloss, but not sticky. Retail for $5.99. @rimmellondonus

NYC HD Color Trio Eye Shadow- I love the smoky eye, look and with this VERY affordable eye trio you can get the look for less then $3 dollars! I was pleasantly surprised how long the color lasted, however I will also say I did use a primer on my eye lids before I applied the eye shadow. @nycnewyorkcolor

Puffs Travel Pack-I love me some On the Go Packs by Puffs, really soft and wonderful for a mother of a toddler with no lotion added. Retails for only $0.49 a pack! @puffs

Skinny Cow Divine Filled Chocolates – These may have been my favorite thing in this VoxBox, It was 6 Packets of 3 Piece chocolates, each packet was 130 Calories ( Reese’s Cups 210 Calories) I compared them to Reese’s because the taste is extremely similar.  I recommend anyone who loves chocolate and peanut butter to consume some of these. You will have less guilt.  Retails for $3.99 a box! @theskinnycow

It’s that time again…

My favorite time of the summer… Big Brother time. Seriously I am such a fan girl of this show it’s silly. Yesterday all I could think about is at 7 o’clock, Big Brother 15 will start! If you don’t know what BB is, let me give you a quick rundown…it’s a reality game show were “house guest” are locked in one huge house with no contact outside this house for 3 months for $500,000! They compete in competitions for different prizes, such as Head of Household, Food competitions, Luxury competitions, POV, and now MVP! It’s kind of a lot to explain in one paragraph so good look it up, or better off, WATCH IT!!! Unless you are like me and easily addicted…cautiously watch…then say, ” goodbye to your summer and hello to Big Brother!!” Any who it’s really fun to watch…This is also the first season I bought the Live Feeds. Live feeds are an 24/7 access to the house on…(now you think I’m crazy) I am normally not a big reality game show fan, but this show just consumes me….I will admit it, but I don’t care! It’s all good clean fun…sort of. Last night was the premier, and here is what I think:

Big brother has always been about the house guest being “real people” but this season I really feel like the girls are the same stereotypical “conceited pretty girls” and all the guys are the stereotypical “athletic type” minus one or two house guest. Most also seem to be single…which means only one thing…there is going to be a ton of “showmances”. YAY or NAY? we shall see…

First day in the house and these house guest are ready for alliances!! Like seriously if I was in the house and in the first 10 minutes someone is trying to make an alliance with me I am staying away from you!…seriously barf! Give it a minute…

If you have watched previous season(12) then you know who Rachel Reilly is…you either HATE  her or LOVE her and in the end I LOVED her, well her sister is in the season…Elissa…and I am so rooting for her!! So far the house guest don’t seem to realize that she is her sister(even though they look like twins!). Which when they do find out, I feel like there will be a major target on her back… 😦 BOO!

TWO new twist! *Spoilers* Instead of the two normal nominees for evictions there will now be 3, the 3rd nominee will now be chosen by the MVP…which will be chose by “america” on each week. They get the advantage of putting someone up in silence and secret…great advantage. Which puts a major target on the HOH if both of their nominees stay! My predictions…this is going to be a “catty” season…so “floaters get your life vest!”

NOW it’s your turn, Tell me what you think about this season…

Jalapeno Garlic “Pull Apart” Cheesy Bread

25 Jun

Authors Note: So I started my Garden over a month ago, (I’m sure i’ll do a post about that soon too) and well I have an abundance of jalapenos and sometimes you can have enough salsa, so I have been adding Jalapenos to almost anything to see what else i can use it in, and really Jalapenos in anything is a good thing, but this recipe I had to share!

Pull apart bread is a yummy snack to enjoy with family and friends! All sorts of things can be added to this recipe, and if you can’t handle the spice, don’t add the jalapenos! We had a pizza night yesterday and i had left over pizza dough so weather you make your own dough or store bought dough this recipe is pretty easy to throw together. I used a bread pan to bake it in, which gave it a thick crispy side that was to DIE for.  If you don’t have a bread pan, a cookie sheet will do too. Now this is what you’ll need:

Jalapeno Garlic “Pull Apart” Cheesy Bread

  • 1 lb pizza dough, homemade or store bought, (I recommend Rhodes Bread Dough in the freezer section.)
  • 1 cup shredded mozzarella
  • 1/2 cup shredded Colby jack
  • 1-2 Jalapenos sliced
  • 1 tablespoon minced garlic
  • 1/4 cup melted butter (depending on how bad you wanna be) you don’t NEED it, but it does taste better with it.
  1. Preheat oven @ 350 degrees.  Mix melted butter and garlic together, use some of that butter mixture to lather up the sides and bottom of the pan.
  2. Separate the dough into two equal parts, we are going to layer dough and cheese. First the dough goes down in little pieces, this is what makes the bread easy to “pull apart” after its done baking. So pull apart the dough in little section about a 1-2 inches each. Start placing them at the bottom of the pan, don’t worry if the whole pan isn’t covered it will spread together as it bakes.
  3. Then use half of each of the cheeses and sprinkle over the dough, now throw on those jalapenos on top.
  4. Now place the rest of the dough balls in and then the rest of the cheese. Last but not least…the garlic butter! Pour it all over the dough. Bake for 20-25 minutes! Enjoy the smell of that bread in your oven! Your welcome!

Ivory® 2-IN-1 Hair & Body Wash Review

17 May

YAY!! a new voxbox came in! It was a awesome surprise to see a big bottle of Ivory® 2-IN-1 Hair & Body Wash. I first opened it up and was pleasantly surprised with a fresh, clean scent. Then I read the back and it has conditioners in it!!! SO I hopped in the shower with excitement and used it! Sadly I think my hair is too thick (like I have extremely thick hair) for this product to work really well on it as a conditioner, but I am still using it as a shampoo and body wash! I also use it for my toddler. We both love the smell. A great buy at a great cost to simplify your time in the shower! CHECK IT OUT!

P.S I apologize for the short and very unedited video, I was getting ready for work and had little time to do this! Still hope you love it, please stay tuned for my next review!

Ambellina’s 2nd Birthday!

28 Apr

So Yes, this is about 4 months late! My daughter’s 2nd birthday was in JANUARY! But I loved her decorations so much I could NOT not share it. The pictures above are by KMS Photography.  She’s fantastic. SO check her out… I did the chalkboard art myself with some ideas off pinterest and a long patient night or erasing and redoing! 🙂 I hope you enjoy my decorations, they are simple yet fun… we did’t really have a theme besides a tea party’ish’ pink and blue theme. But I think it turned out great. It was perfect for a small crowd, there were only about 7 guest besides my 3.
